How to embed start-up culture into corporate

The internship

The problem with corporates wanting a startup culture, is that they don’t. They want the outcomes without the reality of change. Flattening hierarchy means dethroning people who are very comfortable in their gilded, heated seats.

The problem

In a startup you can talk to anyone. No one will hold their tongue because of your title. They’ll just tell you you’re being an idiot if you try to make strategic decisions without the product and delivery people in the room. Then the team won’t work with you, because you make terrible decisions. Because you kill productivity and turn the atmosphere toxic - and then you’ll be gone.

If only this were true in corporate. But instead…
